How to use Appzoku

Answers to the questions new and existing users ask most - from connecting your app to scheduling a reel and upgrading your plan.

Getting started

What Appzoku is, who it's for, and how to get going.

What is Appzoku?

Appzoku is a marketing tool for indie iOS developers. Paste your App Store link and Appzoku reads your listing, finds your real competitors, and writes an endless feed of ready-to-post vertical reels - hook, on-screen captions, post caption, hashtags and matched footage included.

You review the reels in a swipeable feed, keep the ones you like, tweak anything you want, then download them as MP4s or schedule them straight to Instagram.

You never open a video editor. Generating, scrolling, editing the script and rerolling are free and unlimited on every plan - you only pay when you want to download.

Who is Appzoku for?

Indie iOS developers and small studios who want organic traffic from TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts but don't have the time, editing skills or marketing team to make the videos.

  • Solo developers launching or growing an app
  • Small studios running more than one app
  • Anyone who would rather ship features than edit videos

Appzoku works from public App Store listings, so your app needs to be live on the App Store.

How does Appzoku work?

  1. 1Connect your app - paste its App Store link, or search its name.
  2. 2Appzoku studies it - your listing (name, description, screenshots, rating, reviews) and your competitors.
  3. 3Remix Studio writes reels in proven formats - POV, before/after, UGC and more - matched to your app and to real footage from the clip library.
  4. 4You review - scroll the feed, keep what lands, edit what doesn't, reroll the rest.
  5. 5Ship it - download an HD MP4, or schedule the reel to post to Instagram automatically.

Is Appzoku free? What do I get without paying?

Yes - you can use most of Appzoku for free, with no card.

  • Unlimited reel generation and scrolling
  • Keep, hide, delete, reroll and edit the script of any reel
  • Competitor scan when you connect an app
  • 1 connected app
  • Preview every reel in your browser

A paid plan adds downloads (HD MP4), the copy pack and more editing controls. Instagram scheduling is on Pro and Studio. See how to upgrade or compare plans on the pricing page.

How do I create an account?

  1. 1Go to appzoku.com and click Get content for free, or open Log in and choose Sign up.
  2. 2Sign up with an email and a password of at least 8 characters, or choose Continue with Google.
  3. 3If you used email, open the confirmation link we send you (check spam if it doesn't arrive).
  4. 4Answer one quick question about your goal, then connect your app.

Already typed your app's link or name on the homepage? Appzoku remembers it, so after signing up you skip straight ahead.

Connect your app

Add your app so Appzoku can write reels for it.

How do I connect my app?

  1. 1Sign in and click Connect app on the dashboard (new accounts are taken here automatically).
  2. 2Paste your App Store link, or type the app's name and pick it from the dropdown.
  3. 3Check it's the right app and click Continue. Appzoku finds your competitors.
  4. 4Review the competitor list and click Create my app.
  5. 5You land in Remix Studio and your first 5 reels are written for you.

In the App Store app, tap Share → Copy Link to get the right link.

Can I connect more than one app?

Yes, up to the limit on your plan. If you reach it, the Connect app button turns into an upgrade prompt.

My app link or name isn't found

  • Use the full link from the App Store's Share menu (it starts with apps.apple.com).
  • The app must be live on the App Store. Google Play links aren't supported.
  • If searching by name fails, try the exact name as it appears on the App Store, or paste the link instead.

Still stuck? Email hello@appzoku.com with the link.

Remix Studio

Where your reels are written, reviewed and kept.

What is Remix Studio?

Remix Studio is where your reels are made. Each app has its own. It takes short-form formats that already work and remixes them with your app's real features, your reviewers' language and matched footage from the clip library - then hands you a scrollable feed to review.

Open it from the dashboard: click Remix Studio on your app's card.

What reel formats does Appzoku make?

  • POV - a first-person moment that ends on your app.
  • Talking-head - a to-camera take, like "you're doing this wrong".
  • Before / after - the old way against your app.
  • Listicle - "3 things I wish I knew".
  • Day in the life - your app inside a real routine.
  • Meme remix - a familiar meme format retold around your app.
  • Green-screen reaction - a reaction clip keyed over a background.
  • UGC to camera - real creator footage, with the message carried by the captions.

A few formats are locked on Free. Paid plans unlock them all.

How do I generate reels?

  1. 1Open Remix Studio. For a new app, the first 5 reels are written automatically.
  2. 2Click Generate to write 5 more.
  3. 3Under Active Video Formats, choose which formats to use (or Select all / Clear all).
  4. 4Keep scrolling the feed - Appzoku writes more automatically as you near the end.

Generating is free and unlimited.

How do I use the reel feed?

The feed is full-screen and vertical, like Reels. Scroll or swipe up and down to move between reels, and use the sound button to hear them. On desktop the actions sit in the panel beside the phone; on mobile they're in the bar underneath.

  • Keep - star the reels you like; they count as your shortlist.
  • Hide - remove a reel from the feed.
  • Edit - open the editor (text, style, media).
  • Reroll - a fresh take on the same footage.
  • Copy pack - copy hook, captions, caption, hashtags and CTA as text (paid plans).
  • HD MP4 - download the finished video.
  • Schedule - post it to Instagram at a time you choose.
  • Delete - remove it permanently.

Switch to Board (top right) for a grid of all your reels with All, Kept and Archived filters.

What's the difference between Keep, Hide and Delete?

  • Keep marks a reel as one you want. It adds to your kept count and is what you'll usually download or schedule.
  • Hide takes a reel out of the feed. Hidden reels move to Archived in Board view.
  • Delete removes it for good and can't be undone.

What does Reroll do?

Reroll writes a new take - hook, on-screen captions and post caption - over the same footage. It's the quick fix when a reel is almost right. Rerolling is free and unlimited.

What is the UGC reel style?

UGC reels use real creator footage reacting to camera, with no voiceover and no green screen. The captions carry the whole message as the creator's unspoken reaction, and your app's name is highlighted in yellow so viewers remember it.

Editing a reel

Change the words, the look, and (on Pro) the footage and audio.

How do I edit a reel?

  1. 1Open a reel in the feed and click Edit.
  2. 2Use the three tabs: Script, Style and Media. The phone on the right previews every change live.
  3. 3Click Save changes.
  • Script - hook, on-screen text, caption, hashtags, call to action.
  • Style - font, size, bold/italic, alignment, position, colours.
  • Media - swap footage, import your own video, add audio, add a logo, set length.

Every plan can see every option. Anything your plan doesn't include is dimmed with a Hobbyist or Pro badge - click it to upgrade.

How do I add my own video, audio or logo?

Available on Pro and Studio. Open Edit → Media, then:

  • Your own video or image - choose a file. A screen recording of your app works great. MP4, WebM or MOV up to 50 MB; PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB.
  • Your own audio - MP3, M4A or WAV up to 20 MB. Set the volume, and tick Mute the clip's original sound to replace it.
  • Logo - PNG, JPG or WebP up to 5 MB. Pick a corner and a size; it stays clear of the Instagram and TikTok interface.
  • Video length - slide between 5 and 30 seconds.

Then click Save changes.

Importing your own clip replaces the library footage (and the green-screen effect) for that reel.

How do I undo my edits?

In the editor, click Reset to original (bottom left). It restores the original text, styling and footage. If you'd rather start from a fresh script, use Reroll.

Downloads & exports

Get your reel out as an HD MP4.

How do I download a reel?

  1. 1Open the reel and click HD MP4.
  2. 2Appzoku records the reel in your browser in real time - it takes about as long as the video itself (10 seconds by default). Keep the tab open and in front.
  3. 3The MP4 saves to your device automatically.
  • 720×1280 vertical (9:16)
  • With sound
  • Captions and logo burned in

HD export needs Chrome 126+ or Safari. On an older browser you'll see a message before any download is used.

Does the download include sound?

Always. The mute button in the feed only controls what you hear while previewing - exports include the clip's audio plus any audio you added, whether the preview was muted or not.

How do download limits work?

Each HD MP4 download uses one from your monthly allowance. The count resets 30 days after your first download in a cycle, and unused downloads don't roll over. Studio is unlimited.

Studio$59/mo$708 billed yearly · $99/mo monthlyUnlimitedUnlimitedFull editor

Generating, editing, rerolling and scheduling never count. See your usage on the Billing page under Exports this billing cycle.

What is the copy pack?

The copy pack copies a reel's hook, on-screen text, caption, hashtags and call to action as plain text, ready to paste into TikTok or YouTube Shorts. You can also download it as a text storyboard from a reel's detail view. It's on paid plans and doesn't count against your download limit.

Can I post to TikTok or YouTube Shorts?

Appzoku publishes automatically to Instagram only. For TikTok and YouTube Shorts, download the MP4 and use the copy pack - the 9:16 format is native to both.

Instagram scheduling

Connect once and post automatically.

What does Instagram scheduling do?

Pick a date and time for any reel and Appzoku posts it to your Instagram as a Reel through Instagram's official API - no exporting to your phone, no remembering to hit post.

Scheduling is available on the Pro and Studio plans - see below for how accounts get connected.

Want to see it first? Watch the demo on the homepage.

What do I need to schedule posts?

  • An Instagram Business or Creator account. Personal accounts can't be published to through the API - switching is free in Instagram under Settings → Account type and tools.
  • A reel you want to post.
  • Chrome 126+ or Safari, so the reel can be recorded as an MP4 (Instagram rejects WebM).

How do I connect Instagram?

  1. 1Upgrade to Pro or Studio if you're on another plan.
  2. 2Open your app and go to the Schedule tab. It shows Not connected.
  3. 3Enter your Instagram handle and click Save handle. Typed it wrong? Click Edit, fix it and save again.
  4. 4Appzoku adds your account to the Instagram integration by hand. Once that's done, a Connect Instagram button appears on the same card.
  5. 5Click Connect Instagram, sign in on Instagram's own page and click Allow.
  6. 6You return to Appzoku and it shows Connected as @yourhandle.

Why the extra step? Instagram is still reviewing our publishing integration, so for now accounts are added manually. Once Instagram approves it, you'll connect in one click.

Appzoku only asks to see your basic account info (your username) and to publish the reels you schedule. It never posts anything you haven't scheduled, and you can disconnect at any time.

How do I schedule a reel?

  1. 1In Remix Studio, open the reel you want to post.
  2. 2Click Schedule (labelled Post in the mobile bar).
  3. 3In the Schedule Reel to Instagram window, check it says Publishing as @yourhandle.
  4. 4Choose a date and time - at least a minute from now.
  5. 5Edit the caption and hashtags if you like; they're pre-filled from the reel.
  6. 6Click Confirm Schedule.
  7. 7Wait while it shows Scheduling… and then Uploading reel to queue…. Keep the tab open until it finishes.
  8. 8The reel appears under Upcoming Queue on the Schedule tab, marked Scheduled.

Appzoku checks the queue every few minutes, so a post goes out within a few minutes of its scheduled time.

Why do I have to keep the tab open while scheduling?

The reel is recorded in your browser and then uploaded, which takes about the length of the video plus the upload. Once Uploading reel to queue… finishes you can close the tab - Appzoku publishes from its own servers at the scheduled time.

How do I cancel, retry or delete a scheduled post?

On the Schedule tab, each post in the queue has buttons: Cancel (while it's still scheduled), Retry (if it failed) and a delete icon to remove it from the list.

  • Scheduled - waiting for its time.
  • Publishing - being sent to Instagram now.
  • Posted - live on Instagram, with a link to the post.
  • Failed - shows the reason; fix it and click Retry.
  • Canceled - you stopped it.

Plans & billing

Plans, upgrading, and where to find your invoices.

What plans does Appzoku have?

Prices are shown per month, billed yearly (yearly is 40% cheaper than paying monthly). The yearly total is exactly twelve times the monthly figure.

Full comparison on the pricing page.

How do I upgrade to a paid plan?

  1. 1Click Upgrade to download in the sidebar, Unlock downloads on the dashboard, or open the pricing page.
  2. 2Choose Monthly or Yearly. Yearly saves 40% and is selected by default.
  3. 3Click Choose on the plan you want. If you're not signed in you'll be asked to sign up first.
  4. 4Pay on Dodo Payments' secure checkout page.
  5. 5You're sent back to the Billing page, which says Confirming your payment… and then shows your new plan and the transaction.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Appzoku never sees your card details.

Run into a locked feature? The upgrade prompt opens at the plan that includes it.

Account & privacy

Passwords, settings, emails and deleting your data.

I forgot my password

  1. 1Open the Log in page and click Forgot password?.
  2. 2Enter your email and open the link we send you.
  3. 3Choose a new password.

If you signed up with Google, use Continue with Google instead.

What emails will Appzoku send me?

  • A welcome email when you sign up
  • A nudge if you haven't connected an app yet, or if you've kept reels but haven't posted them
  • A weekly summary if you generated reels that week
  • Payment receipts

You can switch off everything except receipts in Settings.

How do I delete my account?

  1. 1Open Settings and scroll to Danger zone.
  2. 2Type DELETE to confirm.
  3. 3Click Delete my account.

This permanently removes your apps, reels, Instagram connection and billing history, and cancels any active subscription. It can't be undone.

Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for the most common problems.

My download is blank, silent or failed

  • Use Chrome 126+ or Safari.
  • Keep the tab open and in front until the download finishes - browsers pause background tabs, which can leave the video blank.
  • If you see a message about the clip not loading, try a different reel.
  • Silent file? Some clips have no sound of their own. Pro and Studio can add audio in Edit → Media.

Instagram won't connect

  • The account must be an Instagram Business or Creator account.
  • On Instagram's permission screen, click Allow - cancelling returns you to Appzoku not connected.
  • Try again from the Schedule tab.

Instagram publishing is rolling out in stages while Meta completes its review of Appzoku. If Instagram stops you from granting access, email hello@appzoku.com with your Instagram handle and we'll add you.

My scheduled post failed

Open the Schedule tab and read the reason on the failed post. The usual ones:

  • Video still processing at Instagram - click Retry.
  • Connection expired - disconnect and reconnect Instagram, then retry.
  • Browser recorded WebM - switch to Chrome 126+ or Safari and schedule the reel again.
